This Eid Stay Connected To Web With Minimum Cost While You’re Out Of Town

Eid-Ul-Fitr is nearby and i hope everyone have managed their eid tickets already to spend this holy occasion in your hometown with your friends and families. You may have some kind of internet connection back in Dhaka whether it is broadband or 4g connection from banglalion or qubee, but chances are your connection may not be accessible from your hometown. While you are spending about a week out of Dhaka city, i am sure you don’t want to spend these days without internet, and specially when you need to wish your close friends EId Mubarak via your social networks.

Your smartphone is the best option for casual browsing and everyone have pay per usage activated by default by mobile operators. But it is very costly which will drain your precious balance up-to 200-300tk in a week! You can get a fair amount of usage by using specialty-internet-packages offered by different operator will cost you no more than 100 tk for a week. Here’s some of our operator specific recommendation:

For GP

Mini-pack 25MB for 10days will cost you only 20tk. So you can subscribe to this package and refill it if you are low on data amount. So using 100mb data will cost you no more than 100tk. dial *500*60# to activate this package. For 3g packages 3g mini pack will be suitable for you, will cost you 99tk for a 250mb usage. To activate Dial *500*9*1#.
In both the cases To check remaining data volume, dial *500*60#

For Robi

The thing i like about Robi internet packages is, they don’t have separate internet packages for 3g and edge.¬† So either 3g or edge, i recommend a 100mb for 7day- 40Tk. Dial¬† *8444*100# to activate and to check your internet balance dial *8444*88#

For Teletalk

Teletalk have the widest 3g network so far in Bangladesh. So if you use teletalk 3g you can consider their 100mb internet package for 50tk which have a validity of 5days. SMS d7 to 11 to activate and dial *152# to check your balance.
For 2g users of teletalk, you can go for their 250mb package costing 60tk having a 15days validity. SMS d4 to 111 and dial *152# to check your balance.

For Banglalink

If you are a banglalink 3g user, you can go for their 250mb pack costing 99tk having the validity of 30days. Dial *5000*503# to activate. And if you are a 2g user, you can go for 120mb pack for 100tk which have a validity of 1month. Dial *222*1*3# to activate. To check any of their internet package’s remaining volume, dial *222*3#.

For Airtel

Their network coverage is mostly concentrated on Dhaka, so i cant guarantee proper internet service provided by them in your hometown. However, if you want to try it go for their weekly 55mb pack for 58tk if you are a 2g user. SMS WPM to 5000 to activate. Use it multiple time if you ran out of data limit. Check your usage dialing *778*4#. And if you want to use their 3g network (which is mostly not available outside Dhaka or big city areas) you can go for their weekly 250mb pack for 100tk. Dial *121*5011# to activate and dial *778*39# to check your balance.

All these packages recommended here are for prepaid users. Postpaid users have unlimited and free call center support, so contact them via calling to choose and activate the right package for you. All these recommendations are based on average users data usage tendency per week, if you are a heavy user consider choosing different packages. Links to all mobile operators websites given below.
